The Lassen Library Board of Trustees is soliciting bids for the installation of solar panels at the Library. Links to project documents are provided below. Key project dates are as follows:

- A pre-bid contractor meeting and walk-through at the Library at 9:00 am on Friday, August 28, 2026
- Answers to questions raised will be posted on Thursday, September 4, 2026
- Project bids are due by 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2026
- The Library Trustees will announce the winning contract at 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2026

The Building Forward Library Facilities Improvement Program is the largest single investment made by the state in California’s public libraries. The equity-based grant program helps pay for capital projects for public library buildings that address critical maintenance needs, improve energy efficiency and sustainability, extend digital access, and expand physical access to library facilities. Lassen Library has been awarded $1,871,590 to fund fifteen infrastructure upgrade projects at the library.
